DIVE 250: SCUBA Diving I

Begin your adventure into the deep with Open Water Diver and Nitrox certifications. This course is the first step to learning how to live under the waves. In this class, students learn the basic skills needed to dive, and learn to use nitrox as a breathing gas, which provides safety benefits to divers working at moderate depths. Our program is tailored to create a self-sufficient diver. With both lecture and in-water lab time weekly, students are given ample time to successfully fulfill all requirements for the semester final, which includes a trip to a local lake to demonstrate skills learned throughout the semester. Completing this class will leave you with a thirst for the water and open your eyes to a whole new world!
