Apply for Housing

At Texas A&M University at Galveston, we believe in providing the best residential experience for our students that enables them to safely live and learn. As per University Student Rules, ALL students are required to live in on-campus housing, as space is available. Exceptions may be made in some circumstances (listed below). Any student hoping to live off-campus is required to apply for permission to live off-campus with TAMUG Campus Living & Learning. The application to live on campus can be found here.

Applying for Fall 2025:

Returning students (on-campus Spring 2025 residents) should complete the 2025-2026 housing application in the spring semester but will not be able to immediately select a fall space. Those with a completed application will be able to self-select their housing space in April.

Newly admitted students (incoming students for Fall 2025) can complete the 2025-2026 housing application now but will not be able to immediately select a fall space. Those who apply prior to May 1st will be given selection timeslots and will be able to self-select their housing space in late-May.

Late applications will be manually assigned a space by CL&L staff.

Applying for Spring 2026:

The Spring 2026 housing application will open in October 2025. Students who are living on campus for Fall 2025 and have an active 2025-2026 housing contract should not complete a Spring 2026 application and contract.

Please see the Policies & Procedures page for more information.
