What in your life drew you to your current field of study?

Growing up in Savannah, GA, I was drawn to the port and to a career that would allow me to travel and experience the places where all those ships from around the world came.

What do you hope your students gain from studying or working with you?

I hope they become passionate about the maritime industry, their education, and all the opportunity it affords them. Whether they choose to go to sea or work ashore, it can provide them a good life and a very rewarding career.

What are you passionate about in your personal life?

I am passionate about my family, friends, and enjoying a beach life.
