What in your life drew you to your current field of study?
The logistics industry attracted my attention due to its tight integration with various business functions as well as its orchestrating role for almost every industry—making it an exciting choice to diversify my career. As I joined research, I grew a passion for exploring the buyer-supplier dynamics across logistics dyads to support them in reaching desired win-wins. Parallel with the rising global concerns to preserve the planet, I developed an interest in elucidating whether today’s global supply chains, across their multi-tier structures and different modes of transport, can facilitate green logistics applications without compromising their economic success—in line with the three Ps of business sustainability: People, Profit, and Planet.
